Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Patara Elephant Farm
- Arrive at the farm. Complete registration
- Get changed into your traditional training outfit. Prepare for training.
Training session includes:
- Hiking to find the elephant in the bush.
- Learn about elephant farm management and our breeding program.
- Train to approach and be near elephant.
- Learn to observe the elephant’s temperament.
- Introducing to all of the elephants.
- Morning feed.
- Daily health care check for elephant.
- Pregnancy test for elephant and taking care of the mothers with small babies.
- Learn about elephant skin care and bath your elephant in the river.
- Pregnancy test for elephant and care taking for mother with small baby.
- Instructed training to on how to mount the elephant (ride bareback) including: sitting on the elephant’s neck, basic riding skill, spoken commands as well as practicing how to mount and dismount the from the elephant.
Bare-back riding session.
Practice on easy riding trip within the farm and a short
trip to visit local temple. Learn about elephants and Buddhism
Begin the ride up to a local waterfall for a picnic lunch
and elephant bathing in the water with your own elephant.
Elephant riding trip back to the farm for evening feed.
Farewell and photo taking with your elephant
